Regular Season Round 4: NH Ostrava - Decin 77-78

Bottom-rankedNH Ostrava (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-77 loss to ninth ranked Decin (2-2) in Ostrava. Decin outrebounded NH Ostrava 49-35 including 18 on the offensive glass. NH Ostrava was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jaden Dewar-Edwards (198-1999, college: Humboldt St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. The former international power forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-1989) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Michal Svoboda (190-1999) replied with 22 points and 4 steals and Canadian power forward Julian Roche (211-1997, college: Simon Fraser, agency: BIG) added 7 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for NH Ostrava. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Decin moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams. NH Ostrava at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost.
